Winter 2009 - 2010

We have finished the show season and are going into winter here in the South.  We attended the Feathered Horse Classic at the Georgia National Fair.  Gregor vom Eichenhof was shown in the Open Saddleseat class with rider/trainer Dan Hermann and was pronounced the Champion.  Maurice van der Zuiderwaard was shown in walk-trot Saddleseat and was the Champion with Dan Hermann in the irons.   Maurice was also shown in the pleasure driving class with owner Bill Jackson on the lines and was Champion of the driving class as well.

Next up was the Clemson Fall Classic.  Gregor won both the qualifying Open Saddleseat and the Open Championship.  Maurice won both the qualifying walk - trot Saddleseat and the walk - trot Championship.  Both horses were shown by Dan Hermann

Next up we are planning to attend the Pro-Am show in Perry, Georgia March 31st through April 3rd.  We are planning on presenting Gregor vom Eichenhof in the Open Saddleseat Class with Dan Hermann in the irons.  Maurice will also attend the Pro-AM show and be shown in the Saddleseat Walk-Trot class by Dan Hermann.

It has been an unusually cold winter for York, South Carolina and there have been days that were simply too cold to work the horses.  They haven't lost their edge though and we will continue to jog them all winter.
