Keuring 2008

The keuring is over and the results are in...

The 3 Shady Nook Fillies were all awarded 2nd premies and were Champion and Reserve Champion fillies at the South Carolina keuring.  All of the Friesian fillies are for sale.

Akke of Shady Nook Farm is a 2008 filly, line 50/ sired by Teade and out of the first premium Star mare Lopke D. sired by Mintse.  Akke earned 2nd premie and was Reserve Champion of the filles for 2008.  Magnificent Filly!  Definately a Saddleseat prospect. 

Cierda Zuiderwaard of S. N. F. is a 2008 filly, line 2 sired by Wander and out of a mare sired by Ielke.  Cierda was awarded 2nd premie and claimed Champion of the filly class.  Modern, talented and a great dispositon.  Very suitable for a youth/amateur all around mare.  Marvelous bloodlines for breeding.

Celma of Shady Nook Farm is a 2008 filly, line 15 sired by Wander and out of the Model mare Lies' fan Bommelsteyn sired by Lute.  Celma was awarded a 2nd premie.  Celma is very upright with a great disposition and will be a very suitable riding/driving mount for an amateur/juvenile rider.  Full papers starting with two Model mares.  Bloodlines are superior for breeding. 

Also presented at the keuring:

 Gregor vom Eichenhof Oldenburg.  Gregor is a 2002 gelding sired by Onne x Oltman.  He had previously earned First Premium Star Gelding.  This year, immediately following the Raleigh show, he earned a 2nd premium.  Gregor has claimed the Championship in many classes under saddle this year and continued to the World IFSHA show where he also won a World Championship with 14 year old Tierra Terra in the irons and showing in the Juvenile exhibitor class.

Maurice van de Zuiderwaard, a 2004 gelding sired by Leffert was awarded First Premium Star.   Maurice also continued to the World IFSHA show and was shown in driving by Bill Jackson.  Maurice has just begun his show career and has been in the top ribbons from the first time he has shown.  We look forward to the continued show career of Maurice as he enters the show season of 2009 as a five year old.  

Robbert of Shady Nook Farm was presented for stallion at the keuring and did not advance to central proving.  Robbert, a 2005 line 15 son of Wander and out of a mare by Melle has since been gelded and is currently being trained here at the farm.   Robbert is a very modern, tall and athletic gelding and shows great promise for any discipline.  

Silvester of Shady Nook Farm was presented for stallion at the keuring and did not advance to central proving.  Silvester, a 2005 line 15 son of Teade and out of the Model Mare Lies fan Bommelsteyn by Lute has now been gelded and is currently being trained here at the farm.  Silvester is  an absolute character with a grand disposition and is very athletic with an upright build.  Silvester's dispositon will be suitable for a lady or a child's mount.
