On the Show Circuit

We have a number of past and present Friesian horses who have been successful in Saddleseat and Driving competitions in the US. Below are a few of the standouts.  We raise Friesian horses for sale here on the farm from hand selected mares and careful breeding to Approved Friesian stallions.   We also select promising young Friesian horses and import these horses from Holland.  These imported Friesian horses are trained here at the farm and we also send many of our top Friesian show horses to high performance show barns in order to campaign them on the show circuit.  Each year we raise Friesian foals here at the farm and every September we prepare and present our  foal crop to the Dutch KFPS judges for evaluation of conformation and movement.   Shady Nook Farm Friesian horses have been very successful in earning top predicates for their superior movement and conformation.  

We invite you to attend our local keuring (judging)  this year.  It will be held on September 15, 2009 in Charlotte, NC.    The keuring will offer you the opportunity to view a larger number of Friesian horses in one place and there may also be demonstrations with Friesian horses in different disciplines including saddleseat, driving, dressage and always a crowd favorite the Liberty class.  (Liberty class allows the Friesian to run free in the arena and they always put on a show for the crowd).
