Lopke D, Mintse x Feitse, was imported from the Netherlands as an 18 month old 1e Foalbook filly. Lopke is a stam 50 mare with a very illustrious motherline. Her mother is Ypkje D, a star mare residing at Kasteel Friesians. Lopke’s grandmother, Hetske Star, is double preferent (Crown Jewel) and the mother of the approved breeding stallion Thomas 327. Her pedigree continues with Model+Preferent, Model, Model+Preferent (mother of Fokke 219), Model +Preferent, Model+ Preferent (mother of Rinze 254), Model+ Preferent (mother of Rouke 155).

Lopke is representing her motherline very well as she was awarded Star with a 1e premium at Keuring in 2006. She made 3 appearances at this Keuring and the judges commented that she was absolutely consistent every time. Her excellent movement was rewarded by her being named Champion Mare and ultimately Champion of the Day.

Lopke is a very luxurious mare with outstanding conformation and an effortless trot. She stays very black year round and has a long mane and forelock, which covers her nose. She is also one of our most gentle and loving mares and especially enjoys being groomed.

Lopke’s father, the approved stallion Mintse 384, was champion at the stallion show in 2005, given the best trot award by the KFPS jury in 2007 and now resides with the DeBoer family at www.friesianconnection.com. Mintse made his first US appearance in 2007 at the FHANA world show where he wowed the crowd with beauty and movement. Lopke’s maternal grandfather, Feitse 293 Preferent, is among the most famous of Friesian stallions.

A five year old now, Lopke produced her first foal in April of 2008. The filly is sired by Teade 392 who was awarded the title of Sport Predicate in dressage in 2007. Teade can be seen at www.ironspringfarm.com.  Lopke's 2008 filly is magnificent!  Akke of Shady Nook Farm earned a 2nd premie and was Reserve Champion filly at the keuring.

Lopke D. is back in foal to Teade for 2010.

Lopke D. was presented for premium at the 2009 keuring and again earned a 1st premium.
