Tessa is a beautiful 1st premie star mare that loves attention. She loves being petted and she adores the cheering crowds when she is in the show ring. Tessa is from Stam 2 and has an impeccable mother line of Star, Star Pref, Model Pref, Model Pref, Model Pref, Star.

After giving birth to three foals, Tessa started training for saddle seat at the age of seven. In her first show season, after only 90 days of training, she has won five saddle seat grand championships.

As her father before her, she has been the crowd favorite and responds to the applause she receives. Of her father, Tamme (TOM-a), the stallion report says, "He was at his best in the presence of applauding spectators. Then it seemed like he had wings. He could show off like nobody else, and in Germany, he got the public off the benches twice in one evening, first under saddle and later in the Sjees." Tessa's mother line is equally well known with the model Caspara with her smooth walk, powerful and highly lifting trot, both forelegs and hindlegs; Eeldertsjes Model Pref, who was champion of Breeding Day ten times and gave birth to five model mares and the stallion Murk 194; Tina Model Pref, who was awarded 1st premie ten times and is the mother of the stallions Kasper and Hindrik, and is also grandmother to the approved stallion Oege (ooga). The mare books report that this mare line has vitality, excellent conformation, and fertility as its strong points.

Tessa has an inbreeding coefficient of 2.73. Her daughter Lilly has produced a wonderful filly in 2008.  Her colt Marwyn has been sold and is winning in the show ring.  Before advancing to the Grand Nationals, Tessa won 5 Grand Championships and one Reserve Championship in the regular show season.

After a extremely successful show career Tessa has been retired to the farm for breeding.  Tessa is currently in foal to Ulbert for a 2009 foal.   Update:  May 31, 2009 the filly has arrived!  Magnificent, athletic, modern and just WOW!  Evita-Zuiderwaard of S. Tessa 2009 filly is just gorgeous!  I have re-bred Tessa to Brend for a 2010 foal and I'm very excited to see this combination.
