Octavia was the first Friesian we purchased. Octavia is the classic example of the baroque Friesian horse; big, black, lots of hair, and a very regal and majestic way of going She is truly a princess and is always the horse that visitors to the farm fall in love with.

From Tjimme (Chim-a), Octavia gets her striking baroque look and the famous 'apple butt'. Through her sire Melle (MEL-leh), Octavia is descended form the Age line. It is said of this line, "Age's descendents have the reputation, that they can be put to work without training, and that they will do their job in the carriage without any problems." Octavia is a perfect example of this as she learns very quickly and is willing to try anything. Octavia has given carriage rides to VIP's at Lowes Motor Speedway, been taken into a high school gymnasium for a pep rally, attended Equine Affairs, and participated in many parades. She is truly a bombproof horse.

Octavia's offspring have shown the same willing attitude and have inherited her statuesque build. Octavia's 2005 colt Robbert (Wander x Melle) was awarded Champion Colt with a 1st premie at Keuring. The judges and crowd loved him! Her 2006 colt, Thomas, was also awarded a 1st premie and was Champion colt of the 2006 Clemson Kuering!  Octavia is from Stam 15 and is a 3rd premie studbook mare with a 3.71 inbreeding coefficient.
